Get Your Wife Back – The Psychology Behind Relationships

Relationships are a strange thing. At times they are successful and at times can be extremely difficult to manage. The reasons for both a good and bad relationship can go unnoticed and it is very hard to say how a relationship will develop down the road.
There is no way we can predict that a couple that seems very much in love will find them themselves filing for divorce later on.
The basis of a relationship can be summed up in one word: psychology.
This does not by any way mean that a psychologist can save a marriage.
However psychology does show some interesting points worth noting.

Maybe by having some simple insights as to what people are thinking will aid in keeping your relationship strong:
The National Institute of Mental Health purchased a study showing that the majority of young couples (ages 18 to 21) wanted to stay independent and thus avoided being excessively intimate. On the other hand they felt troubled with feelings of being rejected or abandoned however those with a high self confidence were troubled much less.

Older couples might not show this kind of behavior because they have developed a certain amount of confidence in themselves over the years through life experience. Since they feel confident they are not worried so much with what other people might think or of the possibility of a breakup. The funny thing is that this way of thinking is what actually decreases the likelihood that they will go through a breakup even though a breakup is possible in their age brackets as well.

Of course differences have also been noted amongst men and women:
Women for example tend to control a conversation whereas men will react or respond to conversations as they develop. Since they both use different types of communication, its simple to see how such a conversation can end in conflict. In other words, what is said is not always what is understood by the other person. By understanding these differences in communication you can take them into consideration during a conversation and avoid any unnecessary conflicts.

So these were only a number of basic insights regarding the psychology behind relationships and there are much more. Even though it can be very interesting to see what makes men and women tick, there are other factors that need to be considered to ensure that a relationship is moving forward on the right path and this takes work.

If you feel that there is room for improvement in your relationship then keep this article close by for future use. It is also strongly recommended to visit a marriage counselor as they really understand the psychology behind relationships and can help you reach your goals as a couple.
